Federal High Court orders the release of Sanusi

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the release of Muhammadu Sanusi II who has been held under house arrest in Nasarawa after he was dethroned as the Emir of Kano.

The order was given by Justice Anwuli Chikere after he listened to the argument, to the effect, given by the former Emir's lawyer, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN).

According to the court, Sanusi is to be released on Friday morning.
