Fear grips as El-Rufai reveals Ministers Tinubu should sack

The immediate past governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai has called on President Bola Tinubu to sack any minister or appointee who fails to deliver.

Speaking to the media on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Maiduguri, Borno State, El-Rufai urged the president to investigate the possibility of amending non-result-oriented policies.
He said;

“You appointed a person into a position, and he is not working according to the expectations. You should have the humility to tell him that I need a better person, go and do something else.”

El-Rufai also charged Nigerians to remember President Bola Tinubu in prayer so he can succeed in his plan to develop the nation.

In an earlier report, El-Rufai revealed that Tinubu had returned the fuel subsidy payment. According to him, Nigerians were unaware of the return of fuel subsidy and that the government was paying higher than before.

He was of the view that measures to reduce the effect of the fuel subsidy have been successful. Recall that during Tinubu’s inauguration in May 2023, he announced the removal of fuel subsidies.

El-Rufai said: "In the course of implementation, as you can see, the government has now realized that the subsidy has to be back because right now, we are paying a lot of money for subsidy, even more than before."
