Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, asserts that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is accountable for the recent abductions of students and teachers in the region.
Fayose expressed this in an interview on Arise Television, commenting on the incident involving the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
He criticized Makinde for not taking sufficient proactive measures to combat insecurity in the area.
"I stand by my statement. Seyi Makinde did not act fast enough. The kidnapping of students and teachers in Oyo is due to the failure of Governor Seyi Makinde," he stated.
He emphasized that it is the duty of the state government to coordinate police efforts and oversee the security network within the state.
It is worth noting that suspected bandits abducted students and teachers in Oyo State, later killing one of the teachers.
