Fani-Kayode blames former governor for mass murder, genocide in Kwara

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has blamed a former Governor of Kwara State for the genocide and mass murder taking place in the state.

According to him, the same governor unleashed mass murder on his people in Offa a few years ago and is now stoking the fire of terrorism.

He said, "The genocide and mass murder in Kwara state was first unleashed by a former Governor of the state on his own people in a place called Offa a few years ago, when hundreds of people were killed in one day. It is the same former Governor that is now stoking the fire of terrorism and funding the terrorists that are subjecting the people of Kwara to genocide today in an attempt to make the state ungovernable."

Despite not mentioning any names, Fani-Kayode said "who the cap fits, let him wear it," adding that "that former governor has tried to introduce the same thing again."

"Luckily, Kwara has a governor that cares, not just about Muslims but Christians as well."

MyNigeria learnt that one of the suspects in the April 5, 2018 bank robberies in Offa, Kwara State, Ayoade Akinnibosun, told a Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin how the police coerced him to implicate former Senate President and ex-governor of the state, Bukola Saraki.

Also, Saraki dismissed the allegation as baseless, stating that he had no connection with any criminal group. According to him, the allegation was plotted by the police to embarrass him following his insistence that the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris (as he then was), should appear before the Senate to explain reasons for the rampant killings and violence across the country.
