Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan has lashed at some social media users, especially Obidients, and supporters of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for defending the embattled candidate of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, in Anambra State, Mmesoma Ejikeme.

Ejikeme, a 19-year-old has been accused of falsifying her results and parading herself as the top scorer of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

The controversy has created a sharp divide between social media and traditional media as the debate about who could potentially be right or wrong continues.

However, wading into the discussion, Reno chastised persons for declaring Ejikeme the top scorer despite the JAMB disputing her results.

He wrote: "How can you want the third position in #NigerianElections2023 to be declared President by INEC, and then also want the ADULT who scored 249 to be declared the highest scorer by JAMB."

Meanwhile, JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, said Mmesoma paraded an “obsolete” notification slip.

Amid the controversy generated, JAMB has barred the 19-year-old from sitting for the exam for the next three years.
