Renowned Lawyer, Prince Lateef Fagbemi has been appointed by the ALL Progressives Congress (APC) to represent it at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

This was disclosed by Ahmad El-Marzuq, APC National Legal Adviser who said the team comprised legal luminaries with vast experience in election petition matters, constitutional law and litigation.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) will lead 12 SANs.

El-Marzuq said Fagbemi had successfully handled various high-profile election matters and other landmark cases.

While a lot is known about Fagbemi and his exploits in law, little is known about how he became a lawyer.

Speaking to ThisDay Live in a 2017 interview, Fagbemi noted that it was a wonderful accomplishment when he acquired his first degree at the University of Jos.

When asked how he felt the day he became a lawyer, he said: "It was a wonderful accomplishment that began at the University of Jos where I acquired my first degree in law and later did my masters at the then University of Ife."

"I did my tutelage under the renowned lawyer and legal titan, Chief Afe Babalola SAN. He so much trusted me and left me to handle responsibilities. I thank God that he groomed me and I also responded to the training."
