FLASHBACK: TB Joshua was found unconscious before he died – Wife

The death of popular cleric, Prophet Temitope Joshua in 2021 came as a shock to many who were familiar with his teachings.

While his followers mourned his demise, his wife, Evelyn said her husband's death did not come as a surprise to her.

According to her, his death was an "act of God".

She made these comments when she welcomed a delegate from the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, led by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, on a condolence visit on Wednesday.

TB Joshua’s wife recounts last moment, how the prophet was found unconscious.

Evelyn said, “What happened was an act of God.

“There’s time for everything, like my husband would say. This is the job he was known for. This is what he was living for. That is what he was going to die for.

“So, it did not come to me as a surprise. I was not surprised when it happened. As we all know, he was in service that day. So, that’s it.”

TB Joshua died on June 5, 2021, in Lagos after overseeing a church event.

The cause of the controversial cleric’s death is yet to be ascertained.
