FG raises alarm as bandits plan to attack schools in 14 States

The Federal Government has issued an alert, cautioning schools in 14 states to beware of fresh attacks by bandits and insurgents.

The national coordinator of Financing Safe Schools in Nigeria, Hajia Halima Iliya, made this known on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

According to her, the data on the attack on schools was intercepted and measures are being put in place to avert these attacks.

The commander of the National Safe Schools Response Coordination Centre, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Hammed Abodunrin, listed the states at risk.

The states include:

Adamawa state

Bauchi state

Borno state

Benue state

Yobe state

Katsina state

FCT, Abuja

Kebbi state

Sokoto state

Plateau state

Zamfara and three other states.
