FG introduces new strategy in Nnamdi Kanu trial

There are reports that the federal government will kick-start the trial of the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu with the terrorism charge before his formal arraignment.

The courtroom of the Federal High Court in Abuja according to the Daily Post has been flooded with documentary evidence which is to be tendered against the secessionist leader by the government.

All electronic equipment which includes cameras has been brought to court and inspected by the lead counsel to the Federal Government, Mr. Shuaib Magaji Labaran.

Kanu is yet to arrive at court, however, his counsel led by Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, have taken their seats waiting for the arrival of their client.

Family members of Kanu including a nursing mother have taken their seats.

A representative of the British High Commissioner billed to watch the trial for the United Kingdom has also been allowed into the courtroom, Daily Post reports.
