FG evacuates Nigerian girl put up for sale of Facebook, 28 others from Lebanon

The Federal Government has announced the evacuation of a Nigerian lady that was almost sold on Facebook and 28 other people from Lebanon.

Recall that the lady, Peace Ufuoma, was rescued after a Lebanese put her for sale online.

The Lebanese man, Wael Jerro, had placed a $1,000 price on the Nigerian lady before he was reported to the Lebanese government.

Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, made the announce meant of her evacuation on Saturday.

She also added that alongside, Peace, another Nigerian who was help for alleged murder, Temitope, is also on the flight back to Nigeria today.

"29 Passengers just departed from Lebanon. And guess what? Temitope, who was left behind last time, accused of murder is on board. And so is Peace Buhari, the girl who was put on sale on FB and rescued by the Nigerian mission," she tweeted.
