Richmond Macgrey, a former father-in-law to Emmanuel Uduaghan, husband of senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused the lawmaker of disrespecting his family.
Macgrey, in a Facebook post on Thursday, alleged that the senator was “taking his daughter’s glory”.
He wrote: “Today is supposed to be one the happiest days of my life until I saw this and other offensive photos on social media,” Macgrey wrote.
“Senator Natasha, you’re taking my patience and respect for the institution I hold dearly for granted. You have disrespected my daughter and family enough.
“You cannot take my daughter’s glory when I’m alive. Therefore, I’m giving you an opportunity to publicly apologise and take down these photos.
“The drums are out. We may soon start dancing in the market square. Don’t forget I kept all the documents you sent me.”

Despite repeated provocations I have maintained a dignified silence for four years. When insults become a regular thing, we have to confront issues and dam all consequences. Considering the role played by this lady in destroying my daughters marriage, it is a bitter pill to swallow. I've learnt to walk alone and not be scared or afraid to continue alone on life's journey. I consulted extensively before I posted this issue on my page. i have absolutely no regrets for what I posted. I will do it again and again if I have to.
After extensive talk with my father, I've decided to take down the post.
