Former Beşiktaş assistant manager Eren Şafak has issued a subtle warning to Galatasaray against relying too heavily on Victor Osimhen.

According to Şafak, the Turkish Süper Lig giants risk facing bigger problems if they rely solely on the Nigerian international during matches.

Osimhen recently returned from a groin injury and has failed to find the back of the net in his last three games against Kasımpaşa, Barcelona and Gençlerbirliği.

“Osimhen is a very important player for Galatasaray in terms of scoring goals and producing results,” Şafak said, as quoted by HT Spor.

“However, if you leave the entire burden on him, you will eventually face bigger problems. The other players might start thinking, ‘Osimhen will score anyway, let him win the game for the team.’

“This could be the beginning of a major issue for Galatasaray down the line.”

Osimhen is expected to face his former club Lille in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, October 21.
