A pirate radio, Radio Biafra, has said the nose of President Bola Tinubu and his predecessors will soon grow like Pinocchio's nose because of their pledge to tackle erosion in Anambra State.
This was after Tinubu pledged to help addressing key developmental challenges confronting Anambra and the Southeast region.
These include erosion, underutilisation of gas reserves and Anambra’s exclusion from the National Rail Master Plan.
Speaking at a civic reception held at Alex Ekwueme Square during his state visit on Thursday, Tinubu assured the people of Anambra of the federal government’s commitment to upgrading road infrastructure and fostering stronger national unity through inclusive development.
Responding to Governor Chukwuma Soludo's requests, the President acknowledged the persistence of abandoned federal road projects in the region.
He emphasised the strategic importance of completing roads linking Anambra to Kogi State to facilitate easier access to the South-South and Abuja.
Reacting, Radio Biafra likened Tinubu's pledge to all the failed promises made by his predecessors regarding the challenges.
Radio Biafra shared on X, "Every year, the Nigerian presidents pledges to tackle erosion in Anambra state.
One day their noses will grow like Pinocchio's."
