Enyimba FC defender Stanley Okorom has stated that the People’s Elephants are pleased to be playing away first in their CAF Confederation cup quarter-final duel against Egyptian side Pyramids FC ahead of their first-leg clash on Sunday.

Okorom speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that playing away will hand the People’s Elephants to have taken vital lessons fr their first leg tie way before hosting the deciding tie at home.

He reckoned that finishing second has been their undoing in recent failure at this stage of the competition which will be taken care of better this time.

“Everybody will like to play away first so that you know the abilities of the team, you know everything you know where they are coming from. That is why we fought for the first position because when you come first it gives you the advantage to play away first, so this time around we are going away first and I believe we are going to get something there.”
