Nigerians on social media have reacted surprisingly to a viral video that shows Atiku Abubakar and Babajide Sanwo-Olu seated next to each other at the 70th birthday celebration of Senator Daisy Danjuma.

The viral video that has generated reactions on social media has created an entire conversation on the relationship the country's political elite share off the screen.

Atiku Abubakar is the presidential candidate of the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) while Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State is a key ally to Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A popular socialite, politician and businesswoman, Senator Daisy Danjuma, celebrated her 70th birthday on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Daisy looked elegant in a brown dress, even as her billionaire husband, Theophilus Danjuma, was practically glued to her side as they played host to several top personalities across different walks of life, including politics and business.

Asides Tinubu and Atiku, guests at the event include the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso; Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku; Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; Esther Ajayi, popularly known as Iya Adura; Chief Olu Okeowo, and Atedo Peterside.

An accomplished businesswoman and politician, Daisy represented the Edo South Senatorial District in the Senate between 2003 and 2007. She recontested the seat in 2011 but was unsuccessful, though that has in no way diminished her public profile, nor dampened her enthusiasm for helping the underprivileged in society.

Tinubu who was unable to attend the event praised Senator Danjuma’s outstanding leadership and exemplary contributions to Nigeria and humanity as she clocks 70.

In a statement by his Media Office on Saturday in Abuja, the APC presidential standard bearer said: “It is with great pleasure and delight that I join her family, friends and the entire nation to celebrate Senator Daisy Danjuma, a true amazon and exemplary figure, on the occasion of her 70th birthday.
