Following the EndSARS Panel report, the Lagos State Government has released the White Paper on the #EndSARS Panel of Inquiry report.

According to the FG in a released statement, on the 32 recommendations by the panel, it has accepted 11, accepted 6 modifications, and rejected one.

It was stated that 14 of the recommendations fall outside the powers of the state and will be forwarded to the Federal Government for consideration.

The Federal government described the panel's report that says nine persons were shot dead at the Lekki tollgate as "assumptions and speculations".

However, the state government has called for a disciplinary action against two military officers who refused to honor the panel's invitation.

Although, details of what the recommendations are yet to be made public.

Few weeks ago, a leaked version of the Panel report indicted the Nigerian Army and the police in the killing of unarmed protesters at the Lekki tollgate during the EndSARS protest on October 20, 2020.

However, to investigate the shooting, the state government inaugurated a Panel of Inquiry to handle the case.

After a year, the Panel presented its report to the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and described the incident as a massacre.
