It seems that the identities of some of the persons who was linked to the razing and destruction of properties during the EndSARS protests are finally being uncovered.

A former lawmaker in Ekiti on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dayo Akinleye alongside Afolabi Ariyo, James David, Ajimoko Busola and Oyin Filani has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti for arson, The Nation reports.

Ariyo and his alleged accomplices were sued by the police command in the state for setting ablaze three trucks filled with cement.

The police prosecutor, Johnson Okunade, informed the chief magistrate, Olanike Adegoke, that both the former lawmaker and the other suspects who carried out the act on Tuesday, October 20, are top PDP members.

However, the counsel to the defendants, Kola Kolade, prayed the court to grant his clients bail on the ground that they were implicated in the crime.

Accepting Kolade's request, Adegoke granted bail to the defendants to the tune of N200,000 with two sureties each and went ahead to adjourn the case to Wednesday, October 11.
