The End SARS protest has cast a shadow on Nigeria as well as tested its democracy.

The unfortunate killing of peaceful protesters by soldiers who were camped at the Lekki toll gate for 13 days triggered more violence and unrest with some of these episodes resulting in deaths.

The violence has also taken an ethnic turn with various clashes recorded in Lagos and Abuja.

Suspected hoodlums who infiltrated the ranks of the protesters were believed to have invaded, vandalized, looted, and burned down a number of public and private-owned structures in the state worth N1trillion.

The police confirmed that 25 police stations were burnt in the protest. They are; Makinyo, Onipanu, Makoko, Igbo Elerin, Ikotun, Ajah, Anti-Kidnapping, Onilekere, Elemoro, Alade, Ilasamaja, Surulere,Igando, and Orile.

The others are; Layeni, Asahun, Amukoko, Pen-Cinema, Shibiri, Amuwo-Odofin, Ebute Ero, Asahun, Daleko, Isokoko and Cele.
