El-Rufai suspends schools' resumption indefinitely

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has announced that the resumption of schools has been postponed indefinitely.

According to him, this action was due to the ongoing military operations against the bandits in major parts of the state.

He made this known on Monday, July 26, during a meeting with the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), professional and community-based associations.

The governor advised residents to be mindful of their surroundings and be careful of fleeing bandits in their vicinity.

He also noted that in other to protect the children from attacks in the state, his government is deploying more troops to tackle the growing insecurity issues.
