The PDP in Ekiti has to put its house in order to win the 2022 gubernatorial election.

This was the view of Senator Biodun Olujimi, who decried internal crisis in the party at the national level.

Olujimi pointed out that justice and fairness must be re-instituted for the party to win back Ekiti state in the poll.

A former Senate minority leader in Ekiti, Biodun Olujimi, has predicted what will ruin the chances of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Olujimi said that until the leadership of the PDP at the national level deals with the issue of injustice, the state chapter of the party will remain doomed to failure, The Nation reports.

She alleged that illegality that characterised the congresses in state and wards have ruined the Ekiti PDP.

In light of this, the senator vowed to continue in her struggle alongside some other bigwigs to revive the party and reposition it for victory ahead of the poll.

The outspoken lawmaker lamented: “We are where we are today as a result of the dictatorial nature and selfish interest of one man who sees himself as the alpha and omega of the party.

“But vast majority of party members across the 16 local government areas of Ekiti are ready to change the order and give everyone a sense of belonging in the management of the party. No one should be left out in the decision-making process."

She stressed that there must be justice and readiness for the settlement of internal crisis on the part of the PDP's leadership for the party to record victory in the election.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Ekiti chapter of the PDP was set to be on a war path as the factions of the former governor of the state, Ayodele Fayose and that of SenatorOlujimi refreshed their crisis.

The ward congress held on March 7, was another factor that created a divided house within the opposition party in Ekiti state.

Legit.ng gathered that on Wednesday, August 26, the local government elections further polarised the group as well as the state congress of the party to elect the state executive of the party.
