Eid-El Fitri: Muslim constituents get food items, cash from Ondo lawmaker distributes

As the Ramadan fast comes to an end today, prior to the sighting of the moon, an Ondo lawmaker has distributed food items and cash to Muslims in his constituency, in commemoration of this year’s Eid-El Fitri.

The Ondo House of Assembly, representing Akure South Constituency I, Mr Toluwani Borokini, on Saturday, congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan.

Borokini, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, as well as the Chief Whip of the Assembly said that the gesture was in accordance with his tradition of reaching out to religious groups in his constituency in times like this.

He urged party members in his constituency to unite in order to ensure that the re-election of Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu became a reality.
