Education should be free at all levels- Hon Fulata

House of Representatives House of Representatives

A Federal lawmaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Fulata Abubakar has urged the Federal Government to make education free at all levels.

He made this submission during the Special plenary session addressing the high number of out of school children in Nigeria.

The lawmaker who is representing the Birniwa/Guri/Kiri-Kasamma Federal Constituency, in Jigawa State spoke against the trillions of monies embezzled by the Government which stalled the education and wellbeing of children. Nonetheless, he advocated for an equitable share of resources while asking that education be free for all.

"Trillions are being embezzled that can be used to educate children. We must ensure the equitable distribution of resources. Our education system must be free and compulsory at all levels. The curriculum of all schools must be tailored to education for self-employment and not white-collar jobs," he urged.
