The Edo State election is currently underway as voters troop to their respective voting centres to exercise their rights to select their preferred candidate who will be the governor for the next four years.

Nigerians have taken to social media to predict who will emerge as the winner of the election among the 17 candidates participating.

However, attention has been focused on three strong candidates contesting the election.

They are: Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP)

Meanwhile, a poll conducted by Legit.ng, showed that about 47.3% of the respondents believe Olumide Akpata, the LP candidate, will win the election, 32.8% went for Ighodalo of the PDP and 19.8% predicted that the APC candidate, Okpebholo, would win.
