EVACUATION: 331 starnded Nigerians return from UAE

At least 331 more stranded Nigerians have returned home from the United Arabs Emirates, UAE, according to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM.

The commission revealed on Friday via its official Twitteraccount that the returnees flew in through an Emirates flight which landed at the Abuja airport.

The statement added that all returnees have tested negative for COVID-19 before boarding the repartriation flight.

"@emirates flight conveying 331 Evacuees arrive Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport, Abuja at about 1424HRS from the United Arab Emirates UEA, today Friday, 7th of August, 2020.

"This brings the number of evacuees from the UAE to a total of 2,042.

"All Evacuees tested Negative to #COVID19 and will now proceed on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated by @NCDCgov, @Fmohnigeria, and Presidential Task Force on #COVID-19," the statement read.
