At least 270 stranded Nigerians will return to the country from Egypt, according to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM.
The commission made the disclosure on its official Twitter handle on Friday.
According to NIDCOM, the returnees who will land at the Abuja Airport have all tested negative for COVID-19.
It says, "270 Stranded Nigerians departed Cairo Egypt via @eayptair for Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja with two other Nationals.
"The flight is expected to arrive around 6:00 pm local time today.
"All evacuees tested negative for #COVID-19."
