Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has issued a subtle warning to Premier League leaders Arsenal following their impressive victory against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Cityzens came from a goal down to secure a hard-fought 2-1 win, keeping their title hopes alive.

Dominik Szoboszlai gave the Reds the lead with a brilliant free kick in the 74th minute, before Bernardo Silva equalized for the visitors 10 minutes later.

Erling Haaland scored the winner from the penalty spot in stoppage time to secure the crucial three points for Pep’s side.

The result ensured that the points gap between City and Arsenal at the top of the Premier League remained at six.

In his post-match reaction, Guardiola stated that his side will have to beat Arsenal when they host them at the Etihad to stand a chance of winning the league title.

“All we can do is breathe down the neck of Arsenal, be there, and try—if they slip, if they make a mistake, we use it,” he said.

“We have to play them at home, so of course we have to beat them.”
