The potential successors to Liam Rosenior at Stamford Bridge have been identified.
During the 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Tuesday night, Chelsea fans expressed their desire for Liam Rosenior to be dismissed.
This loss at the Amex Stadium marks the first time since 1912 that Chelsea has suffered five consecutive league defeats without scoring a goal.
In the second half against Brighton, Chelsea supporters once again voiced their discontent towards the club’s BlueCo ownership and chanted ‘f*** off Rosenior’.
Chelsea has now fallen to seventh place in the Premier League, trailing fifth-placed Liverpool by seven points, which significantly diminishes their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Following the team’s exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain last month, it was reported that Chelsea’s management had no intention of terminating Rosenior’s contract, as he took over from Enzo Maresca in January.
Nevertheless, if Rosenior fails to enhance the team’s performance, Chelsea is likely to encounter increased pressure from fans to dismiss him.
Despite Chelsea’s dismal form in the Premier League, Rosenior’s team has the opportunity to reach the FA Cup final this season, as they are set to face Leeds United in the semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.
According to Betfair bookmakers, Rosenior is still the favorite to continue as Chelsea manager into the next season, while Filipe Luis, who had discussions with BlueCo earlier this year regarding a transfer to Strasbourg, is the second favorite with odds of 5/2.
Cesc Fabregas, whose Como team is currently positioned sixth in Serie A, is the third favorite at 4/1, while Oliver Glasner, who will depart Crystal Palace at the end of the season, is listed at 9/2.
Other candidates include: Cesc Fabregas, Oliver Glasner, Xavi Hernandez, Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva, Unai Emery, Andoni Iraola, Frank Lampard, Fabian Hurzeler, Luis Enrique, Xabi Alonso, and Julian Nagelsmann.
