EPL: Edwards talks up Arokodare’s impact in Wolves’ draw vs Brentford

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach, Rob Edwards has praised Tolu Arokodare for his impact in the club’s 2-2 draw with Brentford.

The Nigeria international rose from the bench to score the equalising goal for Wolves.

Brentford led 2-0 thanks to goals from Michael Kayode, and Igor Thiago.

Adam Armstrong reduced the deficit for Wolves before the break.

Arokodare then restored parity 13 minutes from time, nodding home João Gomes’ inviting delivery past Caoimhín Kelleher.

The striker nearly won the game for the Old Gold moments later, with his header crashing off the crossbar.

“But I thought all the subs came on and affected the game really well – Tolu got his goal, Angel, Rodrigo, I thought they all had an effect,” Edwards told the club’s official website.
