END SARS protesters tear gased at Lekki Tollgate

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force have shot teargas to disperse protesters commemorating the memorial of the END SARS protest at Lekki tollgate.

The memorial rally was organised to mark the second anniversary of the #EndSARS movement.

After the alleged fatal shooting of END SARS protesters on Tuesday night, October 20, 2020, the event has been commemorated by protests nationwide.

On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, during the first anniversary of the END SARS protest, protesters and journalists were harassed and beaten up by the operatives of the Nigerian Police.
