The Presidential Election Petitions Court has dismissed the final report on the general elections by the European Union Election Observation Mission (EUEOM).

The verdict was read as a member of the five-man panel on Wednesday, September 6.

The court also rejected the European Union report on the February 25 presidential election on the grounds that they were not tendered by an official of the body which is the author and has the custody of the document.

Recall the (EUEOM) presented its final report on the elections highlighting six priority areas.

The Chief Observer of the mission, Barry Andrews, presented the report which has 25 recommendations, at a press conference in Abuja.

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), conducted the presidential and National Assembly elections on 25 February while the governorship and state houses of assembly polls were held on 18 March.

Supplementary elections were conducted in some constituencies across the country on 15 April.

The EU EOM carried out its work between 11 January and 11 April at the invitation of INEC.
