The Anambra State Government has alleged that presidential hopeful Peter Obi has a mission to dismantle the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

In a statement on Monday, the government cautioned party members against supporting Obi’s presidential bid, labelling such support as an act of betrayal.

"A Betrayal Alert for Ndi APGA. A vote for Peter Obi and the NDC is a vote to kill APGA.

"Since 2014, Obi has had one mission: to destroy the party that made him. In 2025, while President Tinubu stood with APGA, Obi backed opposition to bury us.

"Do not be deceived by a man who abandoned his own house. Anambra is APGA. Ndi APGA, defend your home. Resist the NDC."

Over the past month, the government disclosed records of the debt Obi's administration accumulated during his eight-year tenure.

It also alleged that the Obi administration failed to pay salaries to workers at the Anambra State Water Corporation.
