Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said ex-presidential candidate, Peter Obi, must not be seen travelling on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway when the construction is completed.

According to him, this is because Obi criticised the construction of the road embarked on by President Bola Tinubu.

In a post on Facebook, Omokri revealed that when the road is completed, it will be the single largest infrastructural project in Nigeria.

He shared, "This aerial photo of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway was taken on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Do you see how beautiful and scenic the road is shaping up to be? When completed by President Bola Tinubu, this will be the single largest infrastructural project in Nigeria.

"Peter Obi, since you are the Agbotikuyo enemy of progress who was against this project, please do not let us catch you on this road when it is completed."

Reacting, a Facebook user, Akinwekomi Joseph, said, "Peter obi doesn't know meaning of green light energy. I just imagine how igbo people chose Peter obi as governor for Anambra? Apart from speaking English MC oluomo is 100% better than Peter obi. if Igbo can choose Pitobi as their only best man in Igbo land, which MC Oluomo that they called illiterate is far better than Pitobi it means we should not take Pitobi supporters serious again."

Toba Dada said, "We must not catch Peter Obi there o! But he may ply the road by midnight when we are all in our beds o!"

Naija Minded said, "Chaai. God bless Tinubu. Obi is a tribal bigot. If the project had started from Anambra, would he have reared his ugly head? I think the inclusion of South-South itself angers him the more. He thinks everyone is wretched without vision who only wants to eat today and forget the future if those before us had sacrificed like this, we would be in greater wealth now as a nation. This project is Nigeria's future, with South-South included. People like BAT are never loved, but they are movers. I did not waste my vote when I voted for him."

Splendid Okpo said, "Please let Tinubu complete it first let us see, this is Nigeria, abandoned project too plenty, but if Tinubu complete this one, Hmmm, I will forget hunger, because that means Calabar, Rivers, Bayelsa will be closer to Lagos, and we will start seeing ourselves as brothers, unlike all the road British design, so that we will look far from each other and reason that we are not brothers, as far as am concerned, with new designs of roads in Nigeria and Africa, we will see ourselves as brothers more than before, all roads in Nigeria need new designs, from Ini Local government Area in Akwa Ibom State to Ebonyi State and Okoja is far closer than driving through Calabar, but British design it for divide and rule, use-less colonial mentality, it's only we can change the narrative"
