Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye also known as Bobrisky has denied the audio in which he is accused of bribing operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him.
This denial comes after VeryDarkMan released a viral audio where Bobrisky narrated how he gave ₦15m to unnamed EFCC operatives to have the charges against him dismissed.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 24 Bobrisky refuted the existence of the audio and denied bribing an EFCC officer to have the money laundering charges dropped, stating that he had completed his jail term.
The Chairman of the Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has ordered an immediate investigation into the matter, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale said in a statement.
The controversial social media personality also dismissed the viral voice recording as fake, emphasizing that the claim of never being in prison was false and should be disregarded
He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”
