Dino Melaye wins polling unit in Kogi guber election

The Kogi State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen Dino Melaye, has secured victory at his polling unit.

According to report, Melaye polled 210 votes to defeat his major rival, Ahmed Ododo of the All Congress candidate (APC), who scored 22 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate Leke Abejide came a distant third with 7 votes.

It was reported that the National Rescue Movement, People’s Redemption Party, African Democratic Party, and Social Democratic Party got 001, 002, 001 and 001 respectively.

Prior to the sorting and counting of votes in Kogi state, Dino Melaye had taken to social media to lament the pre-filled results sheet at the polling units in Ogori/Magongo local government areas.

He also called for the cancellation of results in five local government areas following the incidents that occurred.
