Senator Dino Melaye has issued a stern warning to billionaire businessman Elon Musk to refrain from harassing Vice President Kamala Harris, who is also the Democratic Party presidential candidate in the upcoming election.

In a post shared on his X page, Melaye warned that if the harassment continues, he would sell his Tesla and advise his friends to do the same, an automobile co-founded by Elon Musk.

“If Elon Musk will not stop harassing Kamala H. I will sell my Tesla and advise my friends to do the same. America should not lose her pride as the global democratic police. Senator Dino Melaye”

Senator Melaye’s comment comes after Musk revealed his intentions to support former President Donald Trump’s candidacy with millions of dollars.

Elon Musk announced his plan to give a voter one million dollars each day for the remaining days before the election. He believes this will increase voter registration in some states.

Musk’s promise to pay prizes to registered voters immediately sparked an uproar. Election law experts and some state officials have questioned whether it will be in conflict with the law.

Despite being warned by the Justice Department that his daily sweepstakes might violate federal election laws, Elon Musk’s super PAC awarded two $1 million prizes to registered voters in Michigan and Wisconsin on Thursday.

In response to the development, Dino Melaye, although not an American but a supporter of Kamala Harris candidacy, fumed at Musk’s actions.

His comment has since attracted reactions from Nigeria on social media, with many criticising him and comparing his wealth to the American billionaire.

Let's assume your Tesla is $50,000, and let's say you have 1000 friends that have Tesla and they all agree to sell theirs... With a total cost of $50 million, you all will end up costing Mr Musk nothing... It won't even dent his pocket!
