Dino Melaye calls for cancellation of election in 5 LGAs, says it's a scam conducted by INEC

The Kogi state governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dino Melaye has called for the cancellation of election in five local government areas in the state.

According to him, the results from these LGAs is a scam perpetuated by the highest level of INEC.

The five LGAs includes; Okene, Okehi, Ajaoukuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Mangogo

On his X page, he wrote; "INEC must cancel the election in the 5 local governments of Kogi central. The election in Okene, Okehi, Ajaoukuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Mangogo is a scam coordinated from the highest level of INEC."

Reports from the off-cycle election held in Kogi state says that the polls was marred with tampering of results sheet in several polling units across the state.

Dino Melaye's absence at his polling unit said to be Iluafon quarters, Aiyetoro 1, Ijumu Local Government Area of the state sparked massive reactions.

However, in an interview, Dino Melaye dismissed the report. He said he voted and that the media went to the wrong polling unit.
