Detailed of a scheduled one million man march in support of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has emerged.

The rally scheduled for Saturday, October 1 is primarily to drive home support for the candidate and his vice Yusuf Datti.

Under the auspices of Obi-Datti Frontiers - Kano Chapter, the march is scheduled to start from Sarinyaki by Igbo Road between 8 am and 9:30 am.

This follows the official flag-off of the campaign for the 2023 general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Wednesday, September 29.

The scheduled march in Kano comes off the back of other big rallies that have been held across big cities in Nigeria. Port Harcourt, Enugu, Taraba, Jigawa, and Ebonyi have hosted successful rallies to drive home the message that Peter Obi is the ideal candidate to lead Nigeria post-2023.

Asides from the rally in Kano, Obidients will hold another mega rally in Lagos despite the court ordering the supporters not to converge at the Lekki toll.

The #Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally will now see patrons pass through the venue to access Falomo Bridge and other venues at which the rally plans to meet.

Justice Osiagor also directed the Inspector General of Police and the Lagos State Police Commissioner to ensure compliance with the order.

The court made these orders while ruling on a motion for injunction brought by 10 plaintiffs, who are asking the court to, among others, restrain the LP, its presidential candidate Peter Obi, his vice Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, one Julius Abure and their loyalists from holding the rally.

The court adjourned the hearing of the substantive suit to November 4, 2022.
