Presidential spokesperson, Daniel Bwala, has said that Nigeria is winning the fight against terrorism, banditry, insurgency and others.

He shared a photo of himself and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, which he captioned, "We are winning the fight against terrorism, banditry, insurgency, etc, no matter the weather by God’s grace."

Bwala said this hours after reports surfaced, showing that at least 27 people were killed in the horrible incident, and several others were wounded when armed bandits stormed the mosque during morning prayers in Katsina State.

A village head and a hospital official said gunmen opened fire as Muslims gathered to pray at around 04:00 GMT in the remote community of Unguwan Mantau in the Malumfashi local government area.
