Delta Killing: We'll not allow attackers undermine our integrity, value – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated that the gruesome killing of 16 military personnel in Delta State will not be swept under the carpet as is the norm in past administrations.

Troops from the 181 Amphibious Battalion deployed in the Bomadi region were on a peacekeeping mission in the Okuoma community when they were killed on Thursday, March 21.

The President who empathized with the family of the deceased in a previous statement again said the killers would face the wrath of the law. He disclosed this when he hosted the leadership of the Senate to a dinner to break the Ramadan fast in the State House in Abuja.

He assured the military will continue to enjoy the support of his administration to enable it to curtail the threats across Nigeria.

“Our armed forces are working hard, and we’Il not allow attackers to undermine the integrity and value of our armed forces and its leadership,” Tinubu explained.

“We’Il continue to encourage and fight for our sovereignty, our individual rights to exist, and we’Il succeed in banishing poverty from our land.

“On the current economic difficulty, we’re about turning the corner. Our revenue has improved. All we’ve to do is to control expenditure and manage ourselves better,” he added.
