Davido's family treating Osun as jackpot - Sowore

Sowore and Davido Sowore and Davido

Activist Omoyele Sowore has accused the Adeleke family, including singer Davido and Governor Ademola Adeleke, of treating Osun State like a jackpot.

Sowore said this while addressing journalists a few days after the Osun State governorship election won by Governor Adeleke, who is Davido's uncle.

"Even Davido himself has now stated that politicians are evil and he won't have anything to do with politics after this one. The only reason he got involved in this one is because his family is involved. They are using Osun State as their jackpot...Politicians are evil, including his uncle," he said.

Sowore had earlier posted on social media slamming Davido, saying the singer will soon return to the City Boy Movement, which supports the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu.

During Osun State governorship election, Davido took to social media to express displeasure with Tinubu's camp.

With the election over and his uncle victorious, Sowore believes Davido will mend fences with the City Boy Movement.

He wrote on X, "Governor @AAdeleke_01 has endorsed the failed Tinubu @officialABAT presidency to continue its mission of destroying Nigeria beyond 2027.

"At the end of the day, the Adelekes and the Tinubus are looking out for their own personal and political interests, watching each other’s backs, protecting their political fortunes, and safeguarding their loot.

"I feel sorry for the nearly 50 people whose lives were wasted in election violence during the #OsunDecides, all so these corrupt political families could prove how much they love and protect one another.

"Even their lousy political scion, @davido, will soon return to his vomit, the #CityBoys that’s assuming he ever truly left it in the first place."

Meanwhile, Davido's uncle has vowed to work for the re-election of President Tinubu. This was as he thanked the President for the successful election in Osun.
