Davido laments the poor state of roads in Osun State

Davido Davido

Nigerian singer, Davido has expressed his anger at the Osun State Government for their poor road infrastructure.

The "Risky" crooner took to Twitter in the early hours of this morning to lament his frustrations with all the roads in the state.

"All roads is Osun fucked up! Everything still the same smh Sad," he lamented.

Recall that Davido's Uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke emerged as the governorship candidate of People's Democratic Party in Osun State after defeating Akin Ogunbiyi by seven votes in 2018.

Davido was involved in the electoral process as he massively campaigned for his uncle who was widely regarded as the "dancing senator."

At the end of the state polls which held in September 2018, Ademola Adeleke, had polled 254,698 votes to defeat that of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola, who polled 254,345 votes.

However, due to irregularities which marred the election at some polling units in Ife North, Ife South and Orolu local government areas, including cases of card reader malfunctioning, ballot box snatching, among others, this led to the cancellation of 3,498 votes recorded in the affected polling units.

The election was, later on, declared inconclusive by the Independent Electoral Commission and a rerun slated on the 27th of September, 2018. The candidate of the APC, Oyetola was declared winner after the run-off. Adeleke protested the result describing the election as a "coup."

On Friday, March 22, 2019, the tribunal sitting in Abuja declared Senator Adeleke, who represents Osun West district in the National Assembly, as the winner of the election and duly elected governor of the state.
