Davido announces retirement from music after next album; Tunde Ednut reacts

Afrobeats singer Davido says he is quitting music after his next album.

Davido made this announcement on Thursday, May 9, in response to recent pictures and videos doctored against him by some blogs.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner believes that some people genuinely want him out of the music business.

“Y’all really want me out of the game that bad? Okay, after the next album, I’m done. So you all can have peace,” he wrote on his X handle.

Popular blogger Tunde Ednut, who is a close ally of the singer, reacted in a post on his Instagram page.

"You guys need to give Davido a break. He's not finding all of this funny anymore. Mental health is very important," he wrote, adding, "Drop some words of encouragement for Davido! He can't leave now."

Recall that Davido recently stated that since he entered the industry, most of his colleagues haven’t experienced peace of mind.
