Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has emerged as the most-nominated artiste for the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

The list of nominees was unveiled on Wednesday on AFRIMMA’s Instagram page.

Davido secured five nominations across major categories, including Artist of the Year, Best Male West Africa, Crossing Boundaries With Music Award, and AFRIMMA Album of the Year.

His collaboration with Omah Lay titled ‘With You’ also earned nominations for Best Collaboration and Song of the Year.

Burna Boy, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, and Ghana’s Black Sherif followed closely with four nominations each.

South African singer Tyla led the female category with three nominations, while Tems received two nods.

The Best Influencer category features Peller, Carter Efe, Nasty Blaq, and Sabinus.

Actors nominated in the Best Actor category include Timini Egbuson, Uzor Arukwe, Bimbo Ademoye, and Uche Montana.

The AFRIMMA 2026 awards and music festival will be held on September 12, 2026, at Annette Strauss Square in Dallas, Texas.
