Popular Nigerian pastor, Ebuka Obi, has stirred online discussions after giving candid advice on relationships for single women during a recent sermon.

In a clip that quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), shared by @honest30bgfan, Pastor Obi suggested that women should not confine themselves to a single man who has not clearly expressed a desire for marriage.

He encouraged women to prayerfully engage with and observe multiple suitors without becoming intimate until they discern the right partner.

“Date four, five, six men. Just make sure you don’t sleep with any of them. You can even be considering three at a time to find the one God will choose,” he said.

The pastor emphasized that speaking to more than one man is acceptable when marriage intentions haven’t been clearly stated, and that exclusivity should only begin at engagement, not during the early stages of dating.

He also questioned why many women remain devoted to men who have never discussed marriage, met their families, or made plans for the future.

“When God has chosen the right one, that person will take the step to propose,” he added.
