Dare mourns ex-Eagles star Dina

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has commiserated with the family of former Green Eagles midfielder, Jide Dina, over the demise of the ex-player.

Dina died on Thursday, after a protracted illness.

His death was confirmed by the management of Mighty Jets in a statement signed by the Jos-based club’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mbum Ferdinand,

“So sad to learn about the death of Jide Dina whom I watched live in the colours of Mighty Jets and the Green Eagles,” Dare said.

“He was a great player, robust, rugged, possessed fierce shots and aerial power. My condolences to his family, may God bless his soul,”

Dina, a coach until his death, was a member of the Green Eagles squad that won bronze at the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana.
