Kenyans are optimistic that the presence of Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote at the inauguration of Dr. William Ruto as Kenya’s 5th President will bring hope to the country.

Taking to social media to share their thoughts, many believe Dangote's presence means well for Kenyans. Many are hoping that a fertiliser plant will be established in the country. While other are hoping for a reduction in cement and fertiliser.

In March 2014, when Ruto was the deputy president, he paid a visit to Dangote Cement’s Obajana plant in Kogi State in Nigeria.

And presently as the president, Ruto gave an assurance for the reduction of fertilizer prices from the current Ksh 6,500 for a 50-kilogram bag from next week to Ksh 3,500.

This many believe is a good sign for the country.

Here are some tweets.
