As the Nigerian government continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic, Lagos is once again topping the NCDC's chart.
The agency revealed on Saturday, September 5, that Lagos had 53 cases out of the 162 spread across 14 states and the FCT.

The death toll is now 1054, while the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 54,905.

Lagos which had 53 cases was followed by Gombe as it added 21 new infections to what it already had.

Oyo was next on the list with 19 cases and Delta state which recorded 12.

However, the daily number of discharged patients who fully recovered from the virus dropped to I06 from that of the previous day which was 189.

Legit.ng had earlier reported how the NCDC made another error by reporting additional one confirmed case in its summary for Thursday, September 3, and apologised to Nigerians for this mistake.

"We apologise for this error and remain committed to ensuring transparent and accurate reporting of test results," the disease control agency said.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government made some adjustments to the nationwide curfew which was put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the presidential task force, the curfew will now be from 12am to 4am and no longer 10pm to 12am.

People on essential service and travellers returning from abroad are, however, exempted from the curfew.
