Controversial on-air personality, Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze has reacted to the viral photo that showed his mother, Professor E. Smaranda Olarinde, with Peter Obi during his visit to the legal luminary, Aare Afe Babalola SAN.

Obi, a former presidential candidate had a closed-door meeting with Afe Babalola over the legal issues with detained activist, Dele Farotimi.

In the meeting on Monday, December 9 was Professor Olarinde who is currently the Acting Vice Chancellor, Afe Babalola University Ado Ekiti.

"My mummy o…" he commented in reaction to the photo that was shared by popular blogger, Tunde Ednut.

According to multiple reports, Obi's visit was arranged by a prominent Yoruba leader who wants an amicable resolution to the legal issue between Babalola and Farotimi.

Farotimi, who was arrested in Lagos on Tuesday, was arraigned before a magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday on a 16-count charge of defamation of character against Afe Babalola.

On Friday, December 6, 2024, the Nigerian police filed fresh cybercrime charges against Farotimi at the Federal High Court in Ekiti.
