DSS detains man for 10 weeks for using sim card abandoned by Buhari’s daughter - Sowore

Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore has revealed that a man was detained by the Department of State Security, DSS, for 10 weeks for using a SIM card abandoned by the daughter of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari.

Sowore who recently got bailed from the custody of the DSS took to Twitter saying:

“A Nigerian, Anthony Okolia, was detained for 10 weeks by the DSS for using an MTN phone line previously used and abandoned by President Buhari’s daughter, Hanan!”

Someone who knew the man responded to Sowore's tweet by giving more details.

According to him, the man bought the SIM card from a shop but was arrested when operatives of the DSS stormed his friend's house in Asaba where they found him and got him detained for months.

He tweeted: “Anthony Chude Okolie… Not Okolia. He is my friend and my primary school class mate. He bought the NEW sim card from a shop o. It was a big shock when the DSS came to Asaba to arrest him at his friend’s home. He was detained for several months by the DSS.”
