Cuppy pledges to fight pneumonia in Barcelona

Daughter of Nigeria's billionaire, and Disc Jockey, Cuppy has vowed to fight pneumonia through her foundation, Cuppy Foundation.

Delivering a keynote speech at the Global Forum on Childhood Pneumonia which is ongoing in Barcelona, Spain, the artiste promised to collaborate with Save the Children to end the menace.

"In my country Nigerian, pneumonia kills 160,000 precious souls each year. These children have young ambitious dreams. They are girls such as myself who can be the next international DJ. We all know these deaths are preventable.

"By 2023, Pneumonia would kill 1 million children except we act now. I hope through this forum we can come up with concrete steps to do and do better," the gelato crooner said at the forum.

She pledged to wage a war against the disease in Nigeria by collaborating with more NG0s, inclusive of Save the Children to give succor to the children.

The Global Forum on Childhood Pneumonia is a three-day event scheduled to hold 29-31 January 2020 at CosmoCaixa in Barcelona.
